In this video we showcase how a three man job that would take 3 1/2 days to finish can be done just by one operator in no more than 7 hours with the use of our Fast-Fab DSAW Growing Line System. The system is composed of a custom MNX-100 Subarc Manipulator integrated with the 20TGL Tank Growing Line that is able to accommodate vessel diameters ranging from 48" to 160" and weights up to 40,000 lbs.

The Fast-Fab DSAW Growing Line System is designed to maximize tank and vessel fabrication efficiency. This system features a custom MNX-100 Subarc Manipulator integrated with the 20TGL Tank Growing Line. Built for durability and precision, it is constructed with 1/2" thick carbon steel, and is prepared with a square groove for double submerged arc welding (DSAW). This integration ensures high-quality, efficient, and reliable fabrication.
The 20TGL growing line of the Fast-Fab DSAW system is engineered to accommodate a wide variety of vessel sizes and weights. It can handle vessel diameters ranging from 48" to 160" in diameter, and is capable of supporting loads up to 40,000 lbs. Furthermore, vessel segments can range from 5 feet to 10 feet in length, making this system incredibly versatile and suitable for a broad array of projects.

The Fast-Fab DSAW Growing Line System is designed for optimal operational convenience and safety. The crane in this system is solely used to load materials, while all fit-up is performed by machine, minimizing manual labor and promoting workplace safety. The main control features a 15-inch touchscreen HMI, equipped with lockouts and an E-stop. Additional controls include pendant options for ID fit-up, which come with a 15-foot cable, and wireless hand pendant options are available for enhanced mobility and comfort.
This system highlights advanced welding technologies and features for unparalleled accuracy and speed. EWM MIG welding is performed in PulseArc Mode, with the EWM MIG gun having a light to assist in tack welding. Independent remote control rollers ensure proper shell-to-shell fit-up.
The DSAW welding is performed directly over as-welded MIG stitch-tack welds, with the torch being horizontally offset for a 10-degree lead angle. Filler wire is cut to prepare for OD weld, and the system is laser guided to enable precise seam tracking.
