1. LJ Welding’s original founder was Larry James Wesley, who started the company in 1976 in Edmonton, Alberta.

2. When the current ownership team took over LJ Welding in 2006, the company had six employees; now it has more than 100, and the average seniority across those employees is 5.9 years.  

3. Over the past five decades, LJ has evolved from a local welding and machining business into a global welding automation company.

4. After 50 years at 4747 76th Ave. NW in Edmonton, LJ is moving to a new 75,000 square foot building — all under the same roof.

8. LJ Welding’s export strategy has grown to where exports now represent well over half of company sales.
