Pipe Rigging & Installation: LJ pipe rollers are used for installation of pipe into racks at refineries, power plants, and other industrial facilities. LJ pipe rollers are also used in numerous other applications, including installation and permanent support of utility piping on bridges, in tunnels, and other confined spaces. All LJ pipe rigging rollers are designed to be lightweight, include beam clamps for quick installation, and various roller head options so that pipe can be easily, safely, and efficiently installed. Application : Bridge Beam Rollers

Project : 24-30" utility pipe to be installed in tight spaces on a bridge; customer required bridge beam rollers for both installation and permanent support of the various sized pipes.

The LJ Welding Solution : custom bridge beam rollers rated to 3 Tons capacity each were supplied and able to compensate for grade variation, tight installation requirements, and all capacity and installation requirements on the bridge. LJ also supplied rental equipment for handling and field rotational welding of the pipe, in addition to a winch system for towing the pipe into place.

The Result : LJ delivered fully customized solution within 8 weeks of order, on time, on budget and all performance requirements were met or exceeded, allowing customer to install pipe quickly.

Application : Tunnel Pipe Rollers

Project : pipe to be installed in a tunnel in a copper mine; customer required pipe tunnel rollers for both installation and permanent support of 18-32" diameter heavy wall pipe.

The LJ Welding Solution : custom pipe tunnel rollers rated to 10 Tons capacity each and designed to compensate for tight installation, pipe diameter range, and specific mounting requirements were designed and built.

The Result : designed and built to customer's exact requirements with staged delivery beginning within 4 weeks of order. Customer placed repeat order with the confidence that LJ would deliver high quality pipe tunnel rollers, reliably and on time.

Application : Industrial pipe installation

Project : Inconel piping to be pulled into racks, rotated and welded in a more efficient and safe manner. Customer required rollers that would improve safety, increase speed of installation, and protect expensive exotic metal piping.

The LJ Welding Solution : rollers rated to 4,000 lbs each were custom built with specialized coated wheels to protect the pipe exterior. Rollers allowed customer to pull pipe into rack, rotate using a powered drive unit, and weld pipe automatically.

The Result : The customer was able to complete the project approximately 2-3 times faster than previous projects, and greatly increased safety of workers.

There are three main styles of pipe rigging rollers:

Multi-directional rollers for pipe rolling in any direction (rotation and axial motion)
Conical or v-roller style beam clamp rigging rollers for pulling or pushing pipe (axially) into rack or confined space
Powered rigging rollers- for rolling pipe into racks, equipped with self locking geared wheel spacing features and powered roller driver
